A COVID-19 RESPONSE PROJECT

PISS AND BILE
by Daniella Finch & Beth Wilson

A restaurant, two waitresses and some very annoying customers. Piss and Bile follows two women who hate their jobs and often hate each other. Their unconventional friendship navigates the fast-paced, social media-intensive, career-obsessed society we live in, and interrogates whether a proper connection with someone you can have a laugh with is the only way to survive the shit. Piss and Bile questions the importance of always having to do the right thing, tweet the right thing and say the right thing.

Let’s be honest, it’s all bloody exhausting.

Daniella and Beth met at Uni in Nottingham, where they spent a lot of time (maybe too much time) pratting around doing theatre. Since leaving Uni they attended the National Youth Theatre together and 5 Pigeons were (was) hatched.  Piss and Bile is their first play produced by their new theatre company 5 Pigeons Pecking a Bin Bag. 5 Pigeons aims to produce new work that is bold, foul humoured and also a little bit weird, whilst asking the big, uncomfortable questions and exploring the unsavoury bits of humanity.
