December, 1984. America is facing a health crisis on an unprecedented scale. Whilst people are dying and politicians bury their heads in the sand, Ronald and Nancy Reagan throw their annual Christmas Party at the White House, where the political world rubs shoulders with Hollywood.
At this pivotal moment in history, Rock Hudson and the Reagans meet to swap stories from their past. But Rock has been living with a terrible secret: he is dying of AIDS. And he’s about to reveal the truth to the most powerful couple in the world, even as they deny the disease’s very existence.

CREATIVES
Al is a Manchester-based writer. His writing credits include six pantomimes for Cambridge Arts Theatre, most recently ‘Cinderella’ starring Wayne Sleep, Liza Goddard and Kevin Kennedy (Corrie’s Curly Watts).
Al has been a finalist for the Red Planet Pictures Prize and his first play, ‘The Top Table’, was long-listed for the Theatre503 Playwriting Award. He has written trial scripts for Emmerdale and EastEnders and has an MA in TV Scriptwriting at De Monfort University.
He is Literary & Audience Associate for new writing theatre company Box of Tricks, and is a freelance marketing consultant and project manager.
James Haddrell is the artistic and executive director of Greenwich Theatre.
Directing credits include Hannah and Hanna (London & Edinburgh), Dissonance (play reading, RED Women's Theatre awards), Under My Thumb (London, Brighton and Edinburgh), Gazing At A Distant Star (Greenwich Theatre, shortlisted for a REACH northern touring award), The Jungle Book (European premiere - Greenwich & Milton Keynes) and HERE by Michael Frayn (Greenwich Theatre)
This July he will be directing the online premiere of Steven Berkoff's The Script Love Life of Ophelia as well as two online readings for CultureClash Theatre's new writing initiative Voices In The Dark.
James is also a freelance director and producer, chair of the trustees for Filament Theatre, producer for BurnOut Theatre and project coordinator for Modus Arts.Freelance producing credits include the R&D stages of new musical Theodora and the UK tour of new play Skin In The Game (winner, best performance, Birmingham Fest).
Marcello trained at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts over 25 years ago and has been involved in acting and fight directing ever since. He is the fight master at 2 drama schools in London: Mountview Academy and Rose Bruford.
Theatre work includes: Most recently a stage version of The Talented Mr Ripley for The Faction theatre company, The RSC`s Rome Season: Julius Ceaser, Titus Andronicus and Antony and Cleopatra. Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night for Regents Park, Robin Hood for the RSC and Vestaport Theatre Company, Banquo in Macbeth for Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Unicorn Theatre, The Three Musketeers for the Kingston Rose Theatre, The Seagull for York Theatre Royal, The Wicked Lady for The New Vic, A Clockwork Orange for Newcastle Northern Stage, Macheath in The Beggar’s Opera for The Old Vic, Cyrano De Bergeracfor The Duke`s Theatre and Jamaica Inn for Salisbury Playhouse.
TV work includes: Loiza Scaverra in Dracula, DC Jez Kendall in The Last Detective, Murder In Suburbia, Tiberius Claudius Maximus in When In Rome, My Hero, Sherlock Holmes, Rick Mayall Presents "Dirty Old Town”, Tancred in Crusades, Peak Practice.
Film work includes: Rush, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Interview with a Hitman, Captain America, Intimacy, Jesus the Curry King.
Paul made his professional debut at 13 years of age, in a BBC Children's Radio series on the Home Service (Now Radio 4) The Adventures of Clara Chuff. He trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic school. His extensive theatre work includes the Manchester Library Theatre, the Bristol Old Vic, Leicester Haymarket, West Cliff. He played an American Actor turned politician in the European Premiere of 'Other Desert Cities' at the Vienna's English Theatre. He's played Frank in 'Educating Rita' and Earnest in 'Bedroom Farce' a couple of times. He's been with the Royal National Theatre with 'Les Blancs' and as an American News Anchor in 'Network'. He enjoyed playing Lionel Logue in 'The King's Speech' on a short tour last year. His latest gig playing the Admiral in 'The Sound of Music' on a U.K. And Eire tour was cut short by Lockdown!
His TV work includes:The Onedin Line, Dickens of London, Doctor Who, Moll Flanders,Wings, When the Boat Come In, The Wilde Alliance, The Treasure of Abbot Thomas, 9/11 State of Emergency, and most recently Doctors.
Feature films include: Housefull 3, Photoshoot with John Altman (Nasty Nick from EastEnders), 'The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box with Michael Sheen, and soon to be released 'SuperBob' with Catherine Tate.
Paul has his own One Man Show playing David Niven, first seen at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007 then re-prised in November 2010 in London and onboard the Fred Olsen cruise ship Boudicca, somewhere in Mid-Atlantic.
